PRADHAN MANTRI GRAM SADAK YOJANA
The main objective of this scheme is to provide good all weather roads to rural undeveloped villages for better connectivity to urban areas for better transportation of raw materials, food, fertilizers, aid etc.
It is a central-level project launched on 25th December,2000 to change the daily routine of underprivileged citizens and has resulted in increase of transportation from rural areas to other parts with the modification of routes by constructing new roads. Introduced by the then Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri Prabhjot Singh, this scheme has been advantageous to the tribal areas of Assam.
Initially, the capital for this scheme was provided by the central government and it was under the authority of the Minister of Rural Development. But currently, it was heard that this scheme will be funded by centre and state in which central will have more ratio.
With the launch of this scheme, we see peoples from villages on making use of this schemes are getting more profit in almost every field, let it be education, business, farming or any other field which contribute to a better, healthier and educated India.
